CUSTOM THEATER TRANSFORMATION
For this project our client not only wanted a home theater system but a complete room remodel that would transform his kid’s old bedroom into an art deco-themed multimedia oasis. Discouraged by an underwhelming big box store pitch, the client realized he needed an integrator who understood technology and design.
We provided a design consultation that resulted in a mood board based on the client’s favorite colors and decor inspiration, such as Art Deco. We helped the client find a couch, media console and wall sconces that fit the theme and the room dimensions.
We coordinated schedules with drywall and electrical contractors, specifying the precise drop locations for wall scones, ceiling cans, electrical outlets, speaker wire, and CAT6 Ethernet drops. After the contractors completed their portion of the work, Immersive moved into the space to paint and install Art Deco-themed wood trim to the walls.
A FULL SOUND SYSTEM UPGRADE
Once the remodel was complete, we moved to the technology phase and installed an 83″ OLED TV, Sonos ARC soundbar, Sonos Sub, and Sonos amp to power Sonance in-wall surround speakers. We added Philips Hue bulbs to all the lighting fixtures and configured a programmable dimmer switch with presets for various entertaining options.
For many years the client avoided keeping up with technology and needed us to bring him into current times. We systematically upgraded every tech component, replacing cable internet with fiber, replacing old cable wifi with new Eero Wifi 7 mesh routers, replacing DVD players and DVRs with Apple TV 4K streamers, and adding Sonos speakers in the most popular entertainment spaces. We emphasized ease of use so the TV and Sonos surround are controlled by a sole Apple TV remote with voice control.
For the rest of the home, we installed a stereo pair of Sonos 300 speakers in the living room for streaming Apple Music, Sonos One in the Kitchen for listening to YouTube TV on an iPad while cooking, and finally, we installed a smaller 4K TV, Apple TV 4K and Sonos Ray soundbar in the master bedroom.
