This project leveraged a variety of Sonos and 3rd party products to simulcast music inside and outside a home in San Francisco. Inside the house, music emanates from several Sonos speakers carefully placed throughout the home. We installed two pairs of Definitive Technology outdoor-rated speakers in the backyard, one for the upper deck, where the homeowner likes to grill, and one for the garden below, where the homeowners entertain guests. We also added an outdoor subwoofer for the garden system to provide extra “oomph” for parties. Sonos Amps drive both pairs of outdoor speakers with ample clean power. Each set of speakers was assigned its own zone so the family could easily group “rooms” together based on social settings.
